I see no green legs nor beard or muff either...they look like Production Reds or hatchery RIR's.

Be aware that technically, an EE is a hybrid (mutt) mixed with Ameraucana or Araucana blood on one side and ANY other breed on the other side so depending upon the toss of the genetics, they can come out looking like almost anything and very little like a "typical" EE of chipmunk stripes, green legs, beard/muff, pea comb.

Since there is not SOP for EE's, they can still be called EE's....but it is doubtful they will lay anything other than brown (or white) eggs.

One hope....while beards and muffs may drop off, and green legs, if there is a pea comb, and there truly was some Ameraucana/Aruacana close enough back (doubtful with the lack of beard/muff/green leg), the blue egg shell gene is closely related to the pea comb gene in that line of genetics.

However...I think your chick is simply a mis-marked Production Red.

If you got it at a feed store, return for exchange. If a breeder, complain for exchange.

I agree. On the positive side, Production Reds are excellent layers. If it's a girl, you should get lots of eggs from her.

Nope. That's why we're here and why BYC is great. There are plenty of awesome folks on here that itch to help!
