I live in Florida and was wondering if I need to put a light In the coop. I have six buffs and I get one egg a day so I'm wondering if they need more light for longer days so they would start laying or just give it some time. Thanks mike

You shouldn't need to add extra light quite yet. How old are they?

They just started laying I got them just before Easter. The thing is only one hen is laying and the rest is not. I have six buffs and I thought maybe a light would get the rest to start laying

Light will not get them to start laying, it just continues laying in shorter days after they start. Your girls are still pretty young, most are just not ready to start yet.
