I bought some self-blue moderns back in April. I am finding it hard to find moderns, but I see OEG blue bantams, are they the same thing? If so are self-blues called blues or are they different? Sorry I hope that makes sense. Just trying to determine if they go by different names, but they are the same birds.

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks
    Jen

Self blue is also called "lavander", andalusian blue is a "laced blue"

Ok Perfect that is what I needed to know. I am still learning the moderns and OEG's. Do you know anywhere I can get more moderns? Or what color you recommend I breed with the self blue? Thanks

You should breed Self Blue to Self Blue

Quote:No, lavender is called self-blue in the standards. Andalusian blue requires lacing, and is generally simply referred to as blue.
