Need suggestion for electric fence

I am putting up a run of chix wire, about 25' X25'. It will be 6" under ground. I want to run an electric fence around the perimeter of it. Iam looking for suggestions on how many strands to make, and how low or high to make them. Any comments on a charger would be helpful. I have a cat that is friends with the girls, and don't want him to get zapped from too high a voltage.

I'd run 3 strands at 6", 24", and one just below the top.

Get a good low impedence charger and don't worry about it causing injury to the cat

"Chicken wire" isnt' going to keep predators out, and putting it just 6" in the ground won't stop diggers, so you need the electric fence to do all the work

You'd be better off to use 2 X 4 welded wire and an apron around the outside
