We are not allowed to have chickens in our county so it is not possible for me to have a rooster. Unfortunately I have this really pretty olive egger chick in my mixes flock that is making me wonder. He/she has a larger comb for. 4 months but very rounded tail feathers do I was thinking fast developing pullets maybe. Please help me. Thank you Denise

Hmmm, I think it's a cockeral. I would wait for a crow though. Generally red over black coloration is a rooster coloring. Some pullets mature at 4 months and begin laying, so it's always possible it's a pullet. I also see no sickle or saddle feathers which would indicate rooster, so I'm really undecided. Sorry I'm no help apparently.
