Our neighbor recently passed away and there is no one at her home to tend to her chickens full time so they are migrating over to our yard. We have about 3 acres and our area is semi rural.

We discovered, in the horse trailer, a mother sitting on about 13 baby chicks. My question is what do we do? We've been to the local Tractor Supply who have help us with food and water. Now the mother is getting out and moving around with the chicks. I don't know what to do from here. We aren't set up to raise chickens but I guess it will be a learning experience. They all appear to be very healthy and happy.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Martha

If you don't mind them living in your horse trailer, I would leave them be. I would continue to provide food and water though. It's really up to you what to do now.
