I have a duck who I think is about a couple months old. We had two ducklings but one was killed by a weasel and the other one was very badly injured. I brought him in the house and doctored him up and he is doing well. He's very friendly and enjoys his daily swim in the bath tub. I recently purchased three little ducklings because I didn't want Dale to be lonley. He seems well enough to go outside. Should I put him out alone or wait till the ducklings are big enough to go out with him? would it be safe for him to go out alone now that the pen is varmint proof?

Going out alone is tough since dale wants to be part of a flock. Lately that flock has been inside.

Can you make a temporary space for him near the ducklings but not with the ducklings? That may provide him the flock he needs plus the familiarity you will want when it's time to introduce them to the same living space.

They are currently all in the bathroom because I don't have a heat lamp and it's very warm in there. Ive let them meet a few times and he is Indifferent to them. He was raised with a batch of chicks and used to sit on them so I think he doesn't really know what to make of the babies.
