Our new neighbors are awesome, they started raising chickens as well as goats. We let our chickens run in the evening, that way they don't get too carried away with themselves and wonder too far off. The neighbors tend to let theirs out earlier, which is fine. They will run for our chicken yard when we open the gate to scrounge treats off the ground. Ours will go to their yard to pick and scratch. The grass is always greener, right.

Well last night in the rain I closed up our coop, took a quick glance to check on them and ran for the house. My wife goes to open it up this morning and noticed two extra chickens in our coop. Had a couple stay overnight for a sleepover. Must have gotten lost in the rain. LOL. We thought that was funny.

I'm thinking the two flocks are trying to merge with eachother but any one coop isn't big enough for this new super-flock. As long as you and your neighbor are good with arbitrarily trading chickens, haha.
