Hi. On December 10th my husband found a hen sitting on 15 chicks in the holly bush up next to our house. It had snowed some and he was shoveling when he heard the peep peep peeps coming from the bush. We were thrust into the world of chickens and have been carrying for the lot. We have no coop yet and neither of us knows much of anything about chickens. We are now chicken smitten, but totally unprepared. Been reading a ton and have managed to keep them alive so far.
