Hi! We are building our coop and I am figuring... I wanted to make roll-out nest boxes that are made private with a wall separating them from the rest of the coop. The chickens will walk down a little "hall" to go into the nest box of their choice. I saw the design in one of the many books we have been reading. Anyway, the whole system seems like it would be pretty dark. They would like some light in there, right? Or is really dark good? How about ventilation? Is this a problem with this set up? Just wondering before I pick up a hammer and nails. THANKS!

Ventilation should be addressed , you want to make sure the air does move in there, otherwise though my girls pick the darkest spot in the coop to lay to them dark and enclosed means safe...
