Just joined, haven't started yet. Looking for ideas and advice. Like many other here, I have a plan in my head.
Looking to raise 4 to 6 birds for the eggs. Looking forward to it.

Greetings from Kansas, mrnutz, and [IMG]! Great to have you aboard! My best advice is to take a tour of the Learning Center and read some of the great articles it contains. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center
It will answer a lot of questions you have and some you don't even know you have!
What breeds are you looking at? I like a mixed flock for the variety....some others prefer to have all the same breed.

Do you have some specific questions we could help with (or at least point you to the right place for answers)?
