new babies *pics*

    Roxy's 5 babies, i didnt manage to get photo's of all but here's the ones i took earlier.....

    also can anybody tell me what colour a lavender chick would be, would it start off yellow or be born a darker colour as i was hoping my lavender game bantam mix would have covered Roxy.

    They are so cute.
    My Speckled Sussex just had seven on Oct 30. I'm worried about babies going into winter. Are you leaving them with their mother? Or are you keeping them inside?

    Yes i will leave them with mamma hen as at the moment i have 2 hens with 15 babies all together in the store room.
    It is also easier for this hen with only 5 babies because my other hen with her 10 babies is now struggling to get them all under her to keep warm now they are a bit bigger.
    I think maybe a speckled sussex will do a nice job with 7 babies. I still cannot get over how good mummys they are [​IMG]
