I got new chicks! But ones leg is splayed back is there any way I can help? They are Blue and Black copper marans.

The leg is splayed but not to the side to the back.

You can make a cardboard cut out some thing that looks like a hand and then use veterinary tape to tape the chicks toes straight. I think you need to do it right away because if you don’t, you won’t be able to straighten them. You should search it on this site i’ve seen different articles on this site about that.

It might have curled toes too. Ive saved chicks from reagular splayed legs but, not like this...

I have used half a bandaid for side splay. Can you move it I to place? Not sure if this can be fixed with that method.
