Awww Congrats!!! how many more to come???
Awwww... What breed? Are there any siblings due to make an appearance soon?
Did I mention your doing great???
They are EE's some have the Americana traits though. There is a ranch not too far from me I might buy some back australorp hatching eggs from. They built my coop and it was inexpensive but really nice.
www.odysseyranch.com. If you guys want to look at what breeds they have
Thank you Sally!! And only thanks to you and everyone here at byc!
Wish we had a farm like that out here! It's a battle to find certain breeds out here. Most farms only carry up to three breeds out here and there is a LOT of the same.
I looked through some of the breed characteristics and decided on those because they are a hardy bird and do well in colder climates as well as prolific egg layers! So I'll let you know when I get some and set the eggs....I think I'm addicted to hatching!! I'm going to be giving my cousin some of the babies I've hatched. Her daughter is so egg-cited!!! Too cute.
HA HA!! It doesnt take long!! ADDICTION!!! YAY!!! Stick with us in the diary thread!! cool!
