Today I picked up 4 Barred Rock chicks. The guy said they were hatched in May. I'd think they would be bigger, but hey, I'm fairly new at this. What do you all think?

i too have 4 barred rocks. mine still have a few feathers coming in on their head and underside and their combs aren't as developed as a couple of yours. mine look to be the same size. mine are 4.5 weeks old.

What pretty babies! Mine we hatched in the middle of June, and in this picture my Lucy was eight weeks old.

Quote:Great picture! Looks very similar to mine. I went back and picked up 4 Aracauna crosses from the same guy I got the BR from. I agree, they couldn't have hatched in May, June sounds more like it. Doesn't matter to me, at least now we have almost all of our chickens the same age! [IMG]
