Here are my new breed of chicken. I'm calling them camo chickens - I mean really - look how well they blend in!!

Ok... So they are actually Crele polish, but they are camouflaged in the leaves!! I was taking pics of my chocolate hen who was making a nest in a pile of leaves (my new fall avatar) and realized how well the crele blend in. Here are some more pics...

This is what they look like before they get their true coloring in... The black and white ones are just now starting to get the red coloring in their feathers.

These guys are all so friendly! I just love my polish!!

Do you have polish that actually lay eggs.

I have a couple and in 3 months they have laid perhaps 6 eggs total between the two of them.

Quote:[IMG] Yep, mine lay eggs [IMG] My current girls are still getting in the swing of things, as they just started laying, but I've gotten at least 10-12 eggs from 1 of them, in 1 month. I don't think that's too bad for a bantam polish hen just starting to lay. My standard polish lay pretty much every other day during the warmer months, but slow down in the winter.

What a beautiful bird! Yes, she really blends quite well with those autumn leaves. And I love your seasonal avatar! [IMG] [IMG]
