Went yesterday to pick up my trio of Blanc de Hotots and a black Silver Fox doe. Had to share the pics. The silver fox girl is supper sweet. The Hotots are pretty flighty but Im working on that. The poor little buck kept tring to hide and burry his head under the handfull of hay the first day. One of the Hotot does is a little friendly but nothing like my silver fox rabbits. All the Hotots are 10 weeks and the silver fox doe is 14 weeks.

SilverFilly, those are very nice looking rabbits ! nice breeding on the Fox. are you going to show these beauties?

who did you get the hottots from they are spectacular animals,
I have always wanted the breed but can never find a reputable breeder in this area, they are just not as popular as some of the other breeds.

I cant stress enough about buying quality rabbits from a breeder, Pet store bunnies are just that pets and not the best representation of the breeds.
health issues and temperment lack from pet stores.
that said.
I am a breeder of Silver Fox and French lops, only the best most even tempered are sold as pets,
only the best and most even tempered are sold as breeders, no sense in handing off nasty rabbits to unsuspecting owners.
Any rabbit showing a less than quality temperment go straight to freezer camp.

Wow, I love the mascara that one of them has, precious!
Not knowing a thing about them, I must say their fur is something that is snuggly!
TY for sharing your photos! Sweet looking bunnies!

I got them from Rare Hare Barn here in KS. They raise for meat only, no showing or anything. I dont know If I want to show or not. You really think they would be SQ? I also have a pair of Blue Fox but I dont think the Blues can be shown right?

no blues cant be show YET but they will pass the second presentation this year at the ARBA convention.
once they pass the thrid showing and its put to vote they can be once again shown as the stunning animals they are.

A lot of people are right now looking for blue fox, off spring from any blue to blue breeding will sell really well. same with blue to black breeding as you should get a 50/50 litter( but not always).

good luck with them, believe it or not meat breeders generally have excellent animals as they are going for the meat to bone ratio.
I have seen some of the best Show animals come from Meat breeders.

Beautiful animals! It's great to see some of the more hard to find breeds. I also love the blue SF. If I was going to do large rabbits again, I would certainly have them on the top of my list!
