    Hi All,

We just got a new ameraucana chick a couple days ago we named her Beth.

She is settling in fine and really is a pretty chick.

Anyway, We got to looking at her comb and got a little worried that Beth may be Barney.

I searched the internet and the pictures were not to much help.

take a look and tell me what you think---Beth or Barney????
    Here is her pictures

Hi there! That early comb development may indeed be an indication that it is a cockerel. I also wanted to let you know that with that single comb, it is not an ameraucana either :(

That's not an Ameraucana. It's very young to be certain, but it might be a boy.

    Easter egger mutt???

We took Barney back to the feed store where we got him and
    Got two hens.

Another chicken person was there and pointed
Out telltale signs to look for. Not always 100 percent correct but helpful.
I'm in town and my subdivision says no roos[IMG]
