New Chick dried Crusty

Hi There, we had a chick hatch this am, and he has dried Crusty. Meaning he has a bit of membrane stuck to his neck and the top of his head is crusty. Any ideas, is he gonna live. Just curious?

What I've done in this situation is to just take a cotton ball and very gently "fluff" the peep. It doesn't really take much elbow grease at all...gently, gently!

I wait a day or two until they perk up some and then give them another bath and use a soft toothbrush dipped in warm water. It works really well to get that stuck membrane off.
