New chick mama in Oregon

Hi there! I am totally new to chickens...we just brought home 8 little chicks yesterday. We have a great chicken book but, when I asked around about good chicken resources, everyone sent me here! I can't wait to hang out and get lots of great advice.

We live in southern Oregon on about 1/3 acre in a small town. We have three kiddos (10, 4, and not quite 2) and one very curious kitty who can't keep his eyes off our new babies. We can't wait to get to know these little ladies and get them all set up in our yard.

I'm sure you will see me all over the place as I have a ton of questions! Thanks in advance!
