New chick sex or breed?????? Any ideas

Hi new chick nearly two days old. wondering if anyone had a clue of the sex or breed. The person we got egg from said they from fancy bantams lemon or something and they had silkies and other hens. but I Google it and the chick doesn't really resemble a lemon bantam tho i could be wrong lol.The eggs were small compared standard eggs white and a bit pointy/long rather than round. Would appreciate any input from anyone. Thanks

I know less than nothing about chickens, but they do resemble my Welsummer chics?

The chipmunk pattern is common to many breeds and mixes, welsummer being one, but hatching from white eggs eliminates that breed.

Photos with natural lighting are needed, turn off the heat lamp and take a picture or two. Ultimately, because the pattern is not unique it is often a matter of weeks when they are more feathered that an id can be made

That chick kinda looks like how my Ameraucana/Wyandotte mixed chickens looked when they were little.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but in sexing say a welsummer, i was told something about the black streak behind/on eyes. Lol, she said something about hens wore mascara, and roos did not. No clue if means anything, or if it would hold true to any of the other chipmunk patterned chicks...

Much too young for anything but wild guesses. Please wait till 6-8 weeks of age when chick is fully feathered out. Then post new photos at "what breed or gender is this." Welcome to BYC.
