Good morning! We are new to having chickens in the city and what a hot place to have them. Fans and misters out to try to keep them cool. I would like to post pics of my my fab four so I could get some idea what I have. I'm pretty sure I have a Welsummer and maybe a Cochin, but I'm not totally sure.

Hi and [IMG] Sounds like you're doing a good job of keeping them cool! And I'm sure everyone would love to see pictures. If you aren't sure about the breeds, you can post some pictures in What Breed or Gender is This? and I'm sure people would be happy to help out! Thanks for joining us![IMG]

Hello and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

Yes, summer sure is here! Definitely keep up with the fans and misters. Some ice cubes in the water and some cool treats help too.

Good luck with your birds and welcome to our roost! :)

    Out to pasture
you can also put out shallow pans of water for them to stand in. Cool feet, cool bird.
