Hi! Our family is just getting started on chicken-keeping in our suburban backyard (just over 1/2 acre). We have two daughters who keep bunnies for 4H, so chickens seem like a pretty obvious next step. We're drawing up coop plans now, and are very grateful for all those chicken-keepers near and far who have posted info on their coops that gave us guidance and inspiration. We hope to start with six birds this spring. Looking forward to checking out all the resources here and seeing what other backyard chicken keepers are up to. Cheers!
