Hello Chicken Ladies and Lads!!

I am Karen and my husband, daughter and I just purchase our first baby chicks!! We bought 4 females and they are ISA Brown females, so they say..;0) We've wanted chickens for a long time, and when they became legal to have in Broomfield, Colorado, we got super excited!! But for no reason, because our HOA would not let us have them..:0( We have since moved to Lafayette, Colorado and we just got our first chickens!! I also love hiking, crafting, and time with my family! As a family we enjoy hiking, camping, eating, DIY projects and raising exotic animals! We also have two dogs, Rocky and Cleopatra. Cleo is very curious about the birds , she is a lab but we always teach her to love the smaller family members in the house with respect, she will be a great guard dog! I am happy to be a member of BYC, I just stumbled across this website during a Google search. I look forward to sharing lots of pics and fun times! My hubby is building the brooder today and then starting the plans for our amazing coop we will build as a family!!
