Hello! We are a new chicken family. We have 4 baby chicks that were born on Mother's Day. Lucy, Pip, Red and Gloria have been with us almost two weeks now. They have brought us so much joy. They are our first chickens, but I did grow up with chickens, so I'm not unfamiliar with them. I will say our chicks are so much more spoiled from those I grew up with. I have 3 kids, so our chickens are and will remain pets, however, they will come with benefits. EGGS! My favorite. COVID-19 brought me to create a beautiful garden. So chicks are enjoying themselves in my garden while I attend to it. It's a win win for everyone. I learned about Backyard Chickens from a local Facebook group. I've learned a lot so far and am a happy subscriber. Looking forward to reading more.
