Hello, my name is Grace and I live in Manitoba with my human family of 7; we own a hunting and fishing lodge. For animal family I have two dogs, a rabbit, and 50 5-day-old chicken babies! I have been reading this forum for months now and a majority of these threads have really helped me prepare for the chickens arrival, and I realized "HEY! I haven't even made a profile on here!" The only thing I didn't learn on BYC is that I would practically become obsessed with my chickies and watch over them as if I am their actual mother! I have a hard time leaving them alone; becoming anxious about their well-being, or if they miss me, or if something is just not right enough for them. We have 25 ISA Browns for laying and 25 Cornish Cross roosters for meat. Although they weren't purchased for being "pets", I treat them as such. I know I won't have them for as long as I'd like but I am determined to provide them with the best life possible, however long that may be.
