(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes!! I am a new chicken mamma. My flock of 14 chicks are 8 weeks old this week.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 14
(3) What breeds do you have?
2- Frizzle
3- Silver laces wyandotte
3- Americauna
3- Bantam
3- Russian Orlaf
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Getting to know my individual chicks and their personalities has been amusing. I love how they come running when I approach their coop/run.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening. Archery. Agility/therapy dog. Backyard Birding. Teaching. Summer Camp.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
21 years teaching. I have fur-kids.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Internet search about beginning chick care. The info on here has been quite helpful.
