Hi from Georgia, new chicken mamma here! We have two EE, two buffs, and one OE. They are going on 9 weeks old, and we are just so in love with them. One of the EEs looks like a hawk with her coloring, while the other has a grey, almost square or boxy type head with a ombré beak. The OE is pure white! She has a little dirt on her tail in the photo but she is magnificent. The buffs however, are the friendliest, they are total lap chickens! Large Marge (as we like to call her) is the first one to visit, or beg for a treat. Our toy poodle seems indifferent to the new additions, but our French bulldog is taking longer to adjust. (He constantly wants to patrol the yard and doesn’t realize he’s scaring them.) one question, as I was told these pullets were all the same age but notice that both EE are much smaller than the other three Pullets- is it common for EE to be smaller than OE and buffs? Do they typically go through a growth spurt? Thanks for the warm welcome BYC!
