Hello, painting and sealing the new coop and the guys are gradually getting the ground ready for our girls to come home .Right now they are with friends who set up their coop last week. Excited to say the least. My first time having chickens and the process can't hurry fast enough for me. Looking forward to learning from all of you.

Thank you. I found this site everytime I googled any and everything . The more I read the more I knew it was going to help me. It a long journey to get here. I have asked for chickens for almost 45 yrs. I had given up up until last month my Sweetie sitting here asking if I ever gave any thought to chickens. Figured I will take full advantage to the memory loss of the elderly and had my coop, chickens, tools all figured out before going to sleep. Mind you I to am hitting that old person stage so staying up all night is my thing week later found a friend who was getting chickens free, so I called the chicken lady we went picked out the most perfect girl (a Dominique lol which is our daughter's name) and one Easter eggars. So that will be our start. The Dom is 3 and the Easter Eggars is just starting to lay. EXCITED is putting mildly

I'm told the Dom, that will be called Daisy, is the queen of the coop, super friendly, loves to be petted and loves being hand fed strawberries. I think she maybe getting spoiled by our friend but that's ok. She will get the royal treatment here also.
