Hi there! Finally, after moving in to our own house three years ago, my hubby agreed to let me get some hens! We have 11 Easter egger chicks about 4 weeks old living in our kitchen. Im fairly sure i have 8 pullets and 3 cockerels. We built the coop over the weekend but I have to finish the fencing and hopefully get them outside today. They are not happy in their small playpen-turned-brooder. I was raised with about two dozen Rhode island reds and I'm so glad my 3 and 4 year old boys will grow up with chickens too. I have used this site so much already and referred a new chicken owner here for info. You guys are awesome and I'm glad to be here!!

Hello, and welcome to BYC![IMG] I'm glad you joined our community.

Sounds like you have a nice little flock already! Easter Eggers are a wonderful breed; they usually have good temperaments and lay lots of lovely colorful eggs. If you want to be sure about how many cockerels you have, I suggest posting photos of them in the What Breed or Gender section: What Breed Or Gender is This?

I will have to take better pictures of them and do that. We are not allowed roosters in city limits so I'm hoping I'm right about the rest being pullets. I have friend with a farm that will take my cockerels thankfully.
