I have three leghorns I raised from one week old. They are 3 months old on the 9th. I bought a coop from Urban Coop Company and they moved outside into it only about a week ago. They had lived in a stock tank before that, in my house, and spent time outside only when I was around to watch them....until I got the coop. Tonight it's supposed to go down to 24 degrees so once it got to 32 degrees, I moved them inside to the stock tank again. After they settled in, I heard them trilling. That was a first. Is anyone else afraid to leave their chickens out when it goes below freezing? It worries me.
