Hi everyone! I've just joined after reading several helpful tips over the last couple weeks! I've got 2 Cochin babies so far, we plan on getting more soon. Thanks for all the help so far!!! This is a great resource!

Don't wait too long to get more chicks to go with your Cochins, the older the 2 get, the less welcoming they can be to newcomers.

    Have fun with your birds!

Thanks for being so welcoming! Everyone has made me feel at home here. This site has been such a great resource for me. My husband has had adult chickens in the past, but he's not much help with the babies!

I agree if you want more chicks get them now and about the same age -they should be able to integrate without too much fuss. Cochins are a very nice bree[IMG]d.

Thank you for letting me know, I've been a little worried about that...the 2 I have are inseparable. If I take one away from the other they start making this terribly sad noise/cheep until they are together again. I'm afraid the won't accept any new birds. We'll be extra careful when we add!
