I am thinking about getting new hamshire reds, cuckoo marans , and olive eggers to add in my flock. Any tips on these breeds. I mostly need tips on the cuckoo Marans and new hamshire reds. Are they good layers? What’s there temperament? And for the cuckoo marans how dark should there egg be? Is it as dark as the black copper maran?

The eggs will be about as dark as the brown eggs you can get in the store. Black coppers are much darker, but opingtons for example are much lighter if you know what I mean
