My new chickens I got in April have integrated just fine with my original group, however they won't roost in the same room I have setup for sleeping and laying. They will go in to lay but stay outside to sleep. Any ideas how to get them in there at night with the others?

I have a dozen that were raised together in the same brooder. Only four actually sleep on the roost. IDK why, they sit on it during the day some.

I would go in there just as the others are beggining to roost and place them on the roost. After a couple nights they should get the point. I'm assuming there is ample room for them all to roost.

Quote:I have done that. It doesn't seem to matter. There is plenty of space, but they all want to huddle in the corner. Honestly, I've pretty much given up on them roosting.
