My husband and I have had chickens for a little over a year. Our first year was a breeze but this year we have encountered all kinds of problems that we've painstakingly had to figure out how to diagnose. The newest is in our new batch of 30 chicks we just picked up today. There are two with spots that look sore (red and irritated with no feathers). One of them is itching frantically. The rest seem ok, but I don't know what to do for the chicks that seem infected with whatever this is and to stop it from spreading to the others. Does anyone recognize these symptoms?
