New chicks have strange legs

    I chickens hatxhed,6 are perfect. One has its leg straight and to the side, hip seems out too. The other sits on its bottom with legs out in front. Help![​IMG]

    I tried the bandaid fix but that hip won't stay in place!! What else can I try?!?!

    Ive used straws cut to size to make a bit of a frame to keep everything in, place tape it in place like a splint. Also used small elastic bands with cotton put between so it doesnt damage the skin. Hope these ideas help.

    I'm not sure what to do now. The leg points straight back now.. just getting worse. . I can tape thr legs but the whole hip points out. My husband doesn't want to put him down.. but I think it's time. He's on one leg and falling down. He eats and drinks great..

    I'm not that knowledgeable about the legs, the only other thing I can think of is slipped achilles tendon. Treatment for that is also in the links provided above.

    If it looks it cant be fixed the kindest thing to do is to put him down.
