So we have a flock of six chicks. I have one that mothers my whole flock, she also is curently sitting on the sandbox constantly. I was wondering if when we bring home two babies, the chimpmunk looking chicks, if I could stick her in with them. My theroy is that when I put them in with the current flock when they move to the coop that she will stick up for them and that it will be eaiser to intergrate them. So am I totally nuts or is this somthing that makes sence? Im new to chicks!

you never know the family dynamics of a flock until you add new ones. Your sweetest chicken can turn in to a raving B and attack the next batch, or she could continue to be motherly. Best way to find out is try and see.

is there anything that may help her turn into the sweet mommy I hope she wants to be? I have 3 days before we pick up the babies.
