Hi there,
I'm new to chickens! I recently acquired four chicks from a man who had a few different breeds of chickens, so these chicks are a mixed bunch. I had 5 originally but one was definitely a rooster, so had to give him back unfortunately as I live in an urban part of London!
I have two seven week old chicks; one black- photo 1 and 2, one yellow, photo 3, and two 4 week old chicks; a dark one (photo 4) and a lighter coloured one, photo 5.
I know that the larger black chicken has started to grow a comb, but I think it may due to its breed, because the little rooster I had at this age was much larger with a longer comb and wattle.
Thanks for your help.
