New Chicks

[GAGE]

We picked up our first silkies on Sunday, my plan was for two but we ended up with 4 (red, white, blue and black) and yesterday I placed an order with MPC for the rest of our flock. We odered 1 welsummer roo , 2 welsummer girls, 1 br girl, 1 ba girl, 1 ancona girl and an ee girl. They are due to be shipped on the 16th, and if I can just pick up a bo girl and a blrw girl, our flock will be complete...for now.
I am really trying to keep them as close to the same age as possible, and will post some pics when they are all together in the brooder.

I absolutely love how that works out. My original plan was for 2 as well, and I am getting more chicks next week! LOL Chickens are like Lay's potato chips, can never have JUST one!
