just got our first order of day olds, 4 buff orp, 5 barred rocks, 2 rir and 2 blk star, ordered 12 but got a bakers dozen! most are doing great, 1 has curled toes and I did a little splint because her toenail was cutting her other toe and bleeding a bit but her spirits are great so we'll see how she does, another is a bit droopy and not walking so well but seems to be better than this morning so again we'll do the wait and see!!! my babies!!!

I got 2 chicks in my shipment in August with the same problems! My one with the curled toe has turned out to be the prettiest one of the bunch, and quite typey compared to the others. One of mine was very droopy and couldn't hardly walk. I just forced it to drink water for the entire first couple of days. On day 2, I realized that it's legs were a little splayed and did the bandaid trick on him. After 4 days, I took the bandaids off, and he's perfectly fine now...at 8 weeks old. Good luck with your babies! Aren't they just so darn cute!
