I bought 10 chickens in the beginning of april from Tractor Supply Company. This is a new thing for me. I am working on being more self sufficient which is difficult in the city but anyway. Here are a few pictures:
This was the first week I brought them home.
They are a mixed breed batch, all pullets though. Supposedly they are reds. I havent quite identified them yet. Based on the colors now it looks like we have 8 of one breed and 2 of another. Maybe someone here has an idea. I will be comparing pictures on web here soon.
And yes, it is time to get them out of their box. I am finishing up their coop tomorrow and will do the move. Here is a pic of coop:

We have 8 hens colored like this one.
And the 2 darker ones on the roost. I will be working on my BYC page tonight so check it out later for more coop build pics and let me know what you think. All comments and criticisms welcome. Thanks for reading.
