New computor....site slow....

I have just gotten a new computer and BYC is slow. It's taking so long for the advertisements to load. Every time I go to a new page, takes forever for the ads before I can do anything else. Any idea why? Thanks!

Is the new computer a windows box (win 8.1/IE 11)? If so, try Google Chrome or Firefox, instead of IE. If you are running win 8.1 & Chrome and it is still slow, make sure all of your drivers are up to date (particularly your video chip/card driver). Any HD videos on Youtube behaving `badly' (`choking/freezing-up, etc)?. Also, if running Chrome, set the Adobe Flash Plug-in to `Click-to-Play' (report if that makes a difference).

Also, check all settings on AV/firewall software/empty browser cache/history (try to emulate settings from those on your previous machine).

If the slowdown is ONLY on BYC, then see if you have the same problem with: http://www.overclock.net/ (same host/software as BYC).

If none of those things help, please come back to this post and reply with all the information requested in that thread, especially:

1) Which browser and version are you using (eg., Firefox 3.5.9, Internet Explorer 7, etc.)
2) Have you deleted your internet cache / browser history of files and tried again?
3) Have you tried a different browser (we suggest Google Chrome or Firefox)?
