New coop

how do you train chickens to get used to a new coop? I have had them in this one for a year but am getting them a bigger one is June and will be using the other to start my new chicks in when they turn 8 weeks.

They do not need to be trained. Just lock them in there for a while and they will get used to it.

Well, they do need to be 'trained'(I use that term loosely) by locking them in the new coop and run for a week or so to 'home them' to it.

It may take longer than that, they may want to go back to the old coop, their habits can be hard to change
