I tried to load my new coop onto BYC but seemed to have no end of problems.

Anyway, if anyone is interested I have a history of it being built here
    http://3d4.de/projekthuhn/

The idea for the coop I got from the designs listed here. Plans? No plans, just my wife and I working with a vision.

If anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer them.

Beautiful coop![IMG] (Bookmarked your BYC page for further reference!!)

I love the idea of a wired removable floor for cleaning.

Did you lay those tiles, yourselves? It looks as good as when I had my BATHROOM floor done!![IMG]

Hope you never have to move and build another--this is DEFINITELY a labor of love. [IMG]

    Quote:Hey Dave,

What part of the world are you in? I live in Alaska and I am going to have to finish my coop myself (Hubby works on the North Slope, gone for 2 weeks at a time) so I am wondering about insulation...

I know I will need some, but have no idea which is better, fiberglass batting like you used or the styrofoam type. Any thoughts or opinions?

    thanks,
    Michelle

Great job, what nice construction and a beautiful yard too. But the tiled floor takes the prize!
