I'm a new member here and new to raising chickens. My wife and I just built a coop and got 2 SL Wyandottes pullets and 1 BO Hen. Teh Coop is 10"L x 6"W x 6" T. We used 1/2" hardward cloth on all sides and on the top. I left the floor open so the chickens could dig around inside. I did add some hardware cloth along the entire front side and under the raided bed. Its 10" in the grouond and comes about a 1.5" feet out. On the back side and under the laying box I put in a garden timber 5" away from the base and filled in wiht rocks and dirt. Does this look secure enough or should I add more hardware cloth under the box and on the back? The reason I ask is this morning (2nd day I've had my chickens) a fox was seen by a neighbor at my coop at 7:30 am. I went out there an it doesnt appear he made any attempt to dig in yet. I would love to hear what everyone thinks.
