New coop

Is there anything I should do with the yard before we put our coop up? We're new to this and our chicks are just a few days old. Our lawn isn't treated or anything but I just want to see if there's any preventative measures I need to take for pests.

Assuming you're going to have an attached run, you should consider drainage including where's the water going to go that flows off the roof? Also, if there may be a problem with digging predators, consider burying a predator barrier. Regards, Woody
