My cousin's girlfriend and I went to the feed store today to get two friends for Poet, my lone duck. One is "hers" and one is mine. Her duck will be staying with me (and i have to feed it...) [IMG] . The only reason it is "hers" is because she paid the $3 for it and I paid for the other one. They came from cackle hatchery. I know mine is an Ancona but her's doesn't look like anything. Maybe a crested blue swedish? But he doesn't look like Poet did and he is crested. It was hilarious how we chose them. Jes (cousins gf) picked up the little crested one and he bit her hard! She goes "this is my duck!" Mine didn't really have that cool of a story but was the only ancona left! [IMG]

I want to name him/her these two. your opinion would be appreciated although many people wouldn't like these for names, I really do and they are pretty unique. I think I'm leaning toward Tempest...

    Tempest (after ICP song)
    Nemian (after character in book)

Here is a good shot of Nemian/Tempest.

What do you guys think that chocolate-colored one is?

The setup so Poet can get used to his new buds

The little brown one looks like a khaki cambell. They are all adorable.

What do you guys think for the naming on my Ancona? Tempest or Nemian?

I think the chocolate one looks like a Chocolate Runner duck. Just comparing it to the duckling pictures in my Mcmurray catalog and that is the one it looks the most like to me.
    They are Both adorable!!!!
