new ducklings...what "breed"?

we just got these ducklings today ,do they look like any particular breed? They sure are LOUD too!

"Puddle"...darker,smaller one

The grey one looks like a stuffed duck, but the other ones I don't know aobut.

The Balck and yellow one looks like a magpie. The other one...blue or balck swedish?

I'm no expert on scovies, but those look muscovy to me. I had some this past winter (long story) and that's pretty much what they looked like. I raise runners and magpies, and although the coloring looks rather like a (poor) magpie pattern, scovies will often look that way and are far more common than magpies. Magpies are very unusual, especially if you bought them in a feed store or flea market or similar. Plus, the darker one looks like the same breed in shape, etc., and is almost certainly not a magpie. Could be anconas, but again, the ancona breed is even more unusual than magpie.

It would help to know where you bought these. They could also be mixed breed. Good luck. They're beautiful!!

they are cuties aren't they! my g'son is thrilled with them.

We used to have muscovies but they weren't LOUD like these little quackers definitely are ! LOL
i did some looking and the 1 looks like it might be a black swedish(Splash) ,the other 1 with very little yellow(Puddle)...i have NO idea....ultimately though it doesn't matter .he likes them and that's good enough for me even if it would be nice to know ....
just saw someone elses pics and Puddle looks like the pic of a cayuga ....

...Oh dear! does this mean i need to go out and get 2 more cayugas and 2 more black swedish?

hmmmmm.someone hold me back! LOL

it's all good.the only thing i know for sure about these 2 is that (A) they're cute ( 2) they're not going to be white .........O and (3) they are ducks..
