    (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I don't have any chickens yet! I was hoping to buy some adults after building my coop this year, and raising some babies up so they'll be ready to lay next year!

    (2) How many chickens do you have right now?

    (3) What breeds do you have?
I don't have any at the moment, but I was looking into a couple of different breeds. I was hoping to buy a few breeds that will do well in especially cold climates. Where I live, in Montana, the coldest snaps of the year can get to -40, though usually not quite that low. I was particularly fond of the Blue-laced Red Wynadotte breed.

    (4) How did you find out about
    Researching for chickens!

    (5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy fencing (like with swords), gardening, sewing, and cooking!

    (6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm engaged to be married in September, I own 3 dogs, and I am a full-time student. I am studying Business Information and Technology, which is an associates degree, and then I was hoping to earn a Business Management degree, which is a Bachelors.

G'Day from down under JulieUnruly :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock when they arrive or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.
