Hi all. I have been a.city girl.for about 5 of the last 40 years, and this month I finally got back to the land. I have icelandic sheep, some meat rabbits, a couple piglets, and of course chickens. I'm hoping to put some.waterfowl eggs in my incubator soon to expand the flock.

Welcome aboard and congratulations for getting back to the good life. I know the feeling somewhat. When we first moved to AZ from PA in 2007 we didn't know the area and moved to a suburban home as a temporary measure until we could find what we wanted. Well, that lasted for six years and it was the longest six years of my life. We still need to be within commuting range of town for work purposes but as soon as we're retired we're heading for the distant hills where the deer and the chickens roam.

Hi and welcome to BYC. Im sure you must be both happy and content to be back in the country! I hope you enjoy being a member of our community.

All the best
